Since my last Sunday Shelf Exploration post, I’ve read three of the books I featured, Unnatural Causes by T. E. Harkins, The Unlikely Murder Club by Gina X. Grant and On a Dark Evening by Sarah Woodthorpe.
Unnatural Causes by T. E. Harkins
A fun, wacky, cozy mystery set in a posh retirement community with sassy seniors, an exasperated rookie detective, temperamental smart fridges, absurd but compelling logic, and lots of hilarious drama, love triangles and gossip. My review
The Unlikely Murder Club by Gina X. Grant
A fun, quirky cozy mystery featuring a highly unlikely murder club of Agatha Shadewell, a sixty-five-year-old ex-con straight out of prison, Martin Kobbs, the FBI agent who caught her, and Echo, a teenage hacker who happens to be a big fan of Agatha. My review
On a Dark Evening by Sarah Woodthorpe
A Golden Age style historical mystery set in 1935 in London. Felicia Adams surprises a burglar in her home. Two days later the respected Harley Street physician Dr Langley hosts a dinner party that ends up in murder during the after-dinner entertainment, and it falls to Scotland Yard Detective Inspector John Graydon to investigate both cases, helped in part by Felicia Adams, who turns out to be quite a bit of an amateur sleuth in her own right.
