Eva Stuart runs the Keys Bed and Breakfast in Florida Keys and hosts a book club called the Murder Mystery Book Club or MMBC for short. As most mystery book lovers, she sometimes dreams about how it would be to solve a real-life mystery. When a body is found in the alley next to her bed and breakfast, she suddenly gets her chance.

Teaming up with her book club members and the new in town medical examiner Dr. Vicky Clem, Eva begins to investigate the case, much to the chagrin of the handsome Detective Makos who doesn’t take kindly to civilians interfering. Not even when the civilian is a mystery fan like Eva, who used to help her uncle, who was a private investigator, with his cases.

A cozy mystery with lots of amateur sleuthing, romantic complications, Agatha Christie references, a parrot named Poirot and the quirky cast of the Murder Mystery Book Club.
