A cute, cozy mystery featuring two retired, senior sleuths with contrasting but complementary characters, a watchful basset hound whose thoughts are regularly represented throughout the story, and a small, secluded Danish location that will most likely be unknown to most readers. Family drama, Danish hygge and smørrebrød, buried secrets and treasure and a seemingly haunted attic are but some of the things waiting for Etta and Dora on their homeswap vacation on Ærø, and the two Italian ladies and Leon will have to keep their wits about them if they are to solve the mystery and get safely through their stay.
