Save the Date for Murder by Vivian Keyes

Kelsey Woods is back in Carlyle Cove to help her aunt Clara with her café and be the maid of honor at her best friend Tanya’s wedding. But when Tanya’s wedding planner is found murdered, Kelsey takes it upon herself to save the wedding by sleuthing out the murderer under the mentorship of Elinor Brooks, retired detective and friend of Clara.

A super cute, comforting cozy mystery with a sweet, wholesome setting revolving around Clara’s very aptly named Comfy Café. Inviting and enticing, the Comfy Café is exactly what one would want from a cozy mystery café. Pastel-coloured, sun-kissed comfort, steeped in vanilla, cinnamon and chocolate scents and a meeting point for the locals, offering an amateur sleuth plenty of chances for observation and overhearing of gossip that may prove useful later on.

Kelsey Woods is a charming amateur sleuth and a very sympathetic character, relatable, reliable and a warmhearted, loyal friend. Elinor Brooks is a fun, wise and no-nonsense type of character and a great mentor for any amateur sleuth, gently guiding and helping Kelsey save Tanya’s wedding and find justice for the murder victim.

Recommended for readers who are looking for a lighthearted, quickly read, heart-warming and comforting cozy mystery.
