Eclairs and Enchantments by Kat McGee

Harper Dade is an assistant baker in her aunt’s bakery Taste of Magic in Willow Hollow, and a witch with a somewhat flaky sense of magic. Three days before the Magical Heritage Days Festival, Harper attempts to cast a leviation spell on some eclairs, but something goes wrong, and Harper ends up swapping bodies with Sis, the cranky owner of the next door antiue shop Mystic Antiques and Collectibles. While trying to manage the antique shop, Harper accidentally awakens the ghost of Declan Devereaux, a journalist who was murdered long ago while investigating The Spellworth Society, a local organisation rumoured to have controlled Willow Hollow’s underground dealings in the 1920s.

As a murder victim Declan does not rest easy, and the only way to stop him from haunting the whole town seems to be to solve his murder. Not an easy task under normal circumstances, but even more difficult given that Harper is trapped in an unfamiliar body and forced to try to act like Sis.

To make matters even worse, the whole city is under inspection by the Better Witching Bureau lead by the strict, clipboard wielding stickler for the rules Azura Moondance who is taking an extra interest in both the bakery and the antique shop. Any unauthorised use of magic is subject to potentially devastating repercussions from the Bureau, so Harper has to choice but to continue to masquerade as Sis until they can find a way to reverse the body swap spell.

Assisted by her sassy, musical cat familiar Knox, Harper now has to find a way to reverse the body swap, solve a decades old murder mystery and make sure that the bakery and the antique shop survive the inspection of the Better Witching Bureau and get ready for the Magical Heritage Days Festival.

A cute, funny cozy paranormal mystery filled with magic, witches, baked goods, and old mysteries and buried secrets waiting to be solved and uncovered.
