Constance has been widowed and discovered that her husband was cheating on her. Walking home from his funeral in the rain, she encounters a cat on the street who seems to have an injured paw. Desperate to help, Constance rushes the cat to the vet, woving to return him to his rightful owner as soon as he has been treated, but when she eventually finds Mr. Cinnamon’s home, she is on for a surprise.
A cute, cozy mystery prequel. Constance is a woman who, even in her darkest hour has the compassion to care for a cat on the streets, and I hope that her story in the books will be one of positive change and a new outlook on life. Mr. Cinnamon, the titular cat, is absolutely adorable and the descriptions of him are fluent and natural and should make any cat lovers want to pick up the Purrs and Personality Types series.
